GossamerWind.com E-Commerce Site Launched

GossamerWind.com logoGossamerWind.com, a web site for the direct purchase of Gossamer Wind® series ceiling fans is now live. Compared to conventional ceiling fans, they consume approximately half the energy in operation, saving an estimated $20 per year in electricity costs while providing more efficient lighting and superior air flow.

The new web site aims to expand the sales of the fans, particularly for models that aren't readily available in retail stores. To date, more than a million Gossamer Wind ceiling fans have been purchased across the country (mainly Lowe's and Home Depot retail stores), saving consumers more than $10 million annually.

Anello Consulting built the site using the Drupal open source content managment system. The site features realtime credit card processing, custom tax and shipping calculations, and incorporates various search engine optimizations to ensure the site is easy to find using popular search engines.

OffRoadAtlas.com Launched

OffRoadAtlas.com LogoOffRoadAtlas.com, a new web site from Anello Consulting, Incorporated, recent went live. It is new site that utilizes Google Maps to provide users with an easy way to find and share off-road areas for their vehicles.

The site allows its members as well as anonymous users to submit off-road areas to be displayed on the site. When submitting a new area, the user can specify not only the name and description of the site, but they can also submit links associated with the area and they can pinpoint the location of the area using a highly-interactive Google Map embedded in the page.

ACI Launches Brennan2007.com

Brennan 2007 logoACI recently launched Brennan2007.com, a campaign web site for Timothy Brennan (D) for town council in West Hartford, CT.

The Drupal-powered web site will allow campaign staff to very quickly update content (including photos) on the site via a web-based administrative interface without the need for specialized webmaster.

The site will also allow the campaign to easily collect information from site visitors who wish to aid the campaign by volunteering or sending postcards.

ACI Launches New Version of FloridaGreenBuilding.org

Florida Green Building Coalition logoACI recently launched FloridaGreenBuilding.org, an updated web site for the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC).

The Drupal-based web site provides FGBC with a modern and easy-to-maintain web site that will be able to grow with the organization.

The web site has several unique features, including the ability to easily add new certified Green products and projects via the web-based administrative interface. Visitors to the site will be able to search for product and projects numerous ways including by zip code.

The site will also function as the central repository for information on FGBC's many committees and members.

ACI Launches SurfMessage.com

SurfMessage.comACI recently completed work on SurfMessage.com, an online email/sms/wake-up call subscriptions service for SMNR, LLC.

The Drupal 5-based site utilizes custom modules that allow the site admin to enter in daily surf reports for various areas around the country. These surf reports are then delivered to its customers email, sms devices, or telephones (voice) on a schedule specified by the customer.

The site integrates with many of the top wireless carriers for sms messaging and a 3rd party web services company for taking plain text and translating it into audio files then calling the customers with the automated surf reports.

ACI Launches New Version of Zero-G Teacher Blog Site

Zero-G Logo ACI recently launches a new version of the Zero-G Teachers web site. The updated version is based on Drupal 5.1 and new features include user groups and an improved layout.

The web site allows teachers who have flown on a Zero-G flight to blog about their experiences, allowing them to upload photos, videos, and other materials to be shared with other teachers.

ACI Donates Community-Based Web Site to St. Mark's Episcopal Academy

St. Mark's LogoACI recently launched an all-new web site for St. Mark's Episcopal Academy of Cocoa, Florida. The community-based site will allow school administrators and teachers to keep in close contact with students, families, and the entire community.

The site allows school administration and volunteers to submit news and events to be posted on teh web site once approved by the site administrator. In addition, there is a students-only area where every teacher has their own blog and can post homework assignments, reminders, and classroom events.

Florida Property and Business Solutions Selects ACI for CRM Application Development

Florida Property and Business Solutions (FPBS) of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Chichester, West Sussex, United Kingdom has selected ACI to design and create a customer relationship management application for their growing accounting business. The application will be used simultaneously by numerous employees in both offices and will allow FPBS to track customer/client interactions and data.

Bysiewicz Re-elected to Connecticut's Secretary of the State: ACI Provided Fundraising Web Site

Susan BysiewiczSusan Bysiewicz (D) was re-elected as the Secretary of the State for Connecticut last week. Friends of Susan, Inc had previously selected Michael Anello and ACI to design and produce the official campaign web site, http://www.friendsofsusan.org/, as well as provide ongoing information technology support. The web site was responsible for collecting tens of thousands of dollars for the campaign using its unique campaign contribution approval system.

Anello Consulting Tapped for Energy Center Search Committee

ACI's Gwendolyn Anello has been retained by the University of Central Florida to serve on the national search committee for a communications director for the world renown Florida Solar Energy Center. Her 20 years in communications, with extensive media and community relations activities in energy programs and issues, will assist the committee with the search and selection process.The Energy Center seeks a highly qualified professional to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to publicize its research activities and resident expertise. The six-month contract and search committee process will include assisting with qualifications requirements, identifying appropriate advertising outlets, conducting searches to identify candidates, reviewing candidate resumes, and participating in the final selection process.
